Ibrahim Kheiralla immigrate and settled in Chicago
Ibrahim Kheiralla settled in Chicago. His teaching work in the next few months lead to the founding of the first Bahai community in the Americas.
Ibrahim George Kheiralla (1849 - 1929), the first Bahai in America. He was born at Mount Lebanon in Syria and educated at Beirut University. In Cairo he learned about the Bahai faith and accepted it. In 1892 he immigrated to New York and in 1894 settled in Chicago.
